“Amanda is a young
person who has recognized that her gift and talent come from
God,” says Mark Mann, Director for Family, Youth, and Young
Adult Ministries for Amanda Vernon’s home diocese of Grand
Rapids, Michigan. “By sharing her faith and life through her
music, she will inspire you to look inside yourself and discover
what she found to be true - that the Spirit of God through Jesus
has given each of us particular gifts meant to be shared.”
Born in La Crosse, Wisconsin, Amanda is a home school graduate
and the oldest of seven children. This talented young
singer/songwriter has sung in church choirs since age six, and
played piano at church services since age eleven. She has an
impressive resume in Catholic Children’s Videos, including “The
Rosary for Little Children.”
At age 15, Amanda released her debut album, entitled “Shine Thru
Me.” Less than two years later she recorded and produced a
second CD (“God Cries Too”), released in September 2004. Her
Christmas album, “Something Worth Saving,” debuted August 2006.
Amanda has performed many concerts across the United States for
churches, universities, youth rallies, and special events. She
has also given multiple interviews for radio and television,
including EWTN’s LIVE Call-In Show, “Life on the Rock.”
“Amanda has a very unique style and she is a first-rate
evangelizer through music. It is her great love of Christ and of
the Church that empowers this young amazing Catholic.” -Jesse
Romero M.A., Catholic Lay Evangelist
“Her love for the Lord is contagious!” -Bob Perron, Executive
Director, St. Thomas More Center and Office of Youth Ministry
for the Diocese of Des Moines, Iowa.
